New media technology has brought changes to the production of spatial design. The difference between real space and the virtual world disappeared and the concept of spatiality was expanded. Subjects also changed from a hierarchical relationship with technology to an equal relationship due to the influence of new media, and interactive exchanges became more active and active subjects. The unique physical properties were combined with new media to create visual and tactile sensations, and sensory organs created extrasensory experiences through separation and fusion. This study confirmed that the design characteristics that appear when these new media technologies are reflected in spatial design have changed in the three dimensions above. The resulting spatial design is non-hierarchical and borderless. It has been proven that it is visualized with the characteristics of flexibility, activity, individuality, individualization, contingency, hybridization, and extrasensoryness. This paper is expected to serve as a logical guideline for spatial design using new media.
