Tourist buses, as vital means for tourists to swiftly acquaint themselves with a city"s essence, function as mobile city ambassadors. Currently, the city of Busan in South Korea is in the process of developing into an intelligent tourism city. In order to address the current situation, this research proposes a novel idea of uncrewed and compact tourist buses that are designed with customized interior spaces and tailored tourism routes. This concept"s primary objective is to improve users" travel experience and elevate Busan"s status as an intelligent tourism city.
This study is based on the current research status of tourist buses and the actual operational conditions of tourist buses in Busan. Firstly, it analyzes the characteristics of tourist buses in Busan and compiles the latest design cases of tourist buses. It summarizes and analyzes the development trends of tourist buses in the context of an intelligent city.
Subsequently, starting from passengers" travel needs, a questionnaire survey is designed using the ecological model"s existing variables, extended psychological latent variables, and user demand prediction methods. Through interdisciplinary research, the study integrates user travel scenarios and behaviors, gaining an in-depth understanding of users" public transportation habits and travel experiences and analyzing the current shortcomings of users" public tourist bus travel.
Finally, character models are created, requirements are generated, and opportunities are identified. The study then proceeds to conduct a step-by-step investigation of user experiences from sensory, behavioral, and emotional perspectives, ultimately proposing design directions and principles for future customized public transportation.
