This paper criticized that the discourse on ICT-based smart technology, which is leading today’s social change, is too utopian mainly in terms of anthropocentric logic and human reinforcement, and attempted literary reflection on cutting-edge technology and human change that it will bring. To this end, we tried to deal with Kim Cho-yeop’s works, which criticize the standardized logic of expanding human life with the same ‘technology’ software and show reflection on technology that dismantles numerous dichotomy such as humans and non-humans, machines and organisms, and normal and abnormal.
In these novels, Kim Cho-yeop’s narrative shows the re-contextualization that reverses the unilateral nature of existing technological discourse without rejecting technology, and the possibility of a more inclusive reality beyond the one-sided interpretation of the changes that can accompany technology if it is realized.
