This study aims to demonstrate the methods used in implementing an industry-academia collaboration workshop at B University, specifically in Cheonghaejin’s Japanese IT course, and to clarify its effects through an analysis of students' reflective texts. Distinctive features of the workshop include collaboration with Japanese companies, the integration of company briefing sessions with workshop activities, and the application of research findings on active transitions from educational institutions to corporate environments. Students’ reflective texts were analyzed using SCAT qualitative analysis, yielding theoretical insights into the workshop’s impact on four areas: (1) understanding companies and their operations, (2) support for active transitions, (3) enhancement of Japanese language learning, and (4) improvements in team activities. The analysis confirmed the workshop’s effectiveness, particularly in fostering students' positive perceptions of and aspirations toward companies, enhancing understanding of cultural differences in Japanese workplaces and daily life, creating motivation and opportunities for Japanese language learning, and promoting active learning. These findings highlight the significance of the industry-academia collaboration workshop.
