The folksong is very near to people's life which is consisted of joy, sadness, hope and despair in every day. In this article, I try to analysis Korean folksong and Hungarian folksong. After the comparision, I want to find out the external element that press the women's life.
The main character is woman who complains her hard life. In korean folksong, I select the type of which main character woman. These folk song's motif is the marriage's life. And the almost song deal with the conflict husband's family and the daughter in law.
In hungarian society, a maiden lady has a more obstacles than a married woman. A married woman has a relatively free life. To analysis the woman's life, I choose the "Until her death, the girl is compelled to dance". The main character encounters many obstacle, because her family want to choose a high social position's man.
In this article, I try to find out the element that press down the woman's life. They hadn't a free choice and they were compelled to follow his father's will. Because of the patriarch society, the whole family especially a daughter should follow their father's word.
Through compare korean and hungarian folksong we can understand the patriarch pressure system that made hard woman's life. These two folksong proclaim the contradictions and unfortune in a patriarch society. The woman had so many difficulty in her life, and they sang a song for her mental catharsis.
In patriarch society, a woman has a role as a hard worker. She should work from a housekeeping to farm work. In marriage age he married man whom his father choose. After her marriage, she followed the law in father's will. She should birch son and should endure every difficulty.
Hungary was matriarch society before 9 century. But the magyar(original hungarian nation) settled down in Europe, they accepted catholic. After acception catholic, the hungarian society had became a patriarch society. A woman as 'a second gender' used a method that minded their difficult life condition.
The folksong of which main character is woman express a woman's sadness and hopeless in life. They used literature as a catharsis method. With a symbolic and metaphorical expressing, they resolved their inner contradictions. The folksong is vivid and powerful literature that made her life mild and sweet.
