Nowadays Korean is enrageded at the northeast projects of China. On the other hand the populace is interested in historical drama of television on Kogurou.
Founding-King Dangun has long served as a key figure in traditional Korean culture. Respect for him is both strongly resurgent in South Korea and accepted by the authorities of North Korea. This means that deep consideration of this symbolic figure is very important to all those of a conservative mind who hope for re-unification of the Korean people.
This study is a research to define on the subject matter of Dangun novels especilly storytelling. History is closely related with literature especially historical novel. An author creative individualty can display cyber(fantasic) world, that is alternative history. Those are Dangun's dream and Korean dream in the all Dangun novels.
The subject matters of Dangun novels are based on a Dangun myth, 『Handangoki』 and cyber world. But there are mutual view of points, to regain Korean identity and Manju which was the land of Dangun period. So we must creat the scheme for associating Dangun novel with culture contents.
Both a historical novel and a historical drama are closely related to history itself in that the two artistic genres are based on historical facts. This indicates that these artistic forms shouden't seek their fictional narratives at the cost of the facts, which is equivalent to denying the genres themselves. Therefore a historical novel must have a historical reallity and historical consciousness or writer's sense of history. The storytelling is createvd by collective intelligence.
Moreover we must reserch the necessities and directions of developing unification culture contents in Korea.
