What is the function of the teacher model in Christian education? It is important that it says more about what a teacher is to be, than about what he is to do. If a teacher does not meet the model standard, he is unfit to be a teacher in the class. This is because Christian education includes elements with an implicative function: the model of the Word of God, which guides of life and behavior. Therefore, this is another aspect of the teacher. This function is important to today's Sunday School teacher, if we expect the whole character of the teacher to emerge through the Word of God.
