충청북도보육정보센터의 운영실태 조사(102명: 시설장 55명, 보육교사 47명)를 통한 문제점 및 운영 개선 방안을 다음과 같이 제시하였다. 첫째, 보육정보센터 연구인력 등 인력확충, 둘째, 사업 확대 및 인력확충을 위한 예산증액, 셋째, 사업 강화 및 다양성 확보, 넷째, 지역 순회 등 상담사업의 활성화, 다섯째, 조사연구사업의 강화, 여섯째, 보육정보 접근성 강화, 일곱째, 포괄적 보육서비스 개발, 여덟째, 대체교사 및 자원봉사자 활용을 위한 인력은행 운영 등이다. 아홉째, 포괄적 보육프로그램 도입을 위한 연구개발이 필요하다.

Ⅰ. Suggestion
In accordance with the article 7, the Infants Care Law, and the article 12, the 13, the same enforcement ordinances revised in 2004, the care information center is in operation to facilitate the convenience of general residents trying to use the care center through the collection, provision and counselling of infants' care information, build the link system with the care system, and enhance the effectiveness of the facility operation. As of 2006, a central care information center and a local care information center is being set up and operated in 16 cities, provinces, 8 cities and counties.
But still the care information center is not settled down yet, so this study tries to come up with an operation improvement plan through the status survey.
Ⅱ. Operation Improvement Plan
1. Building of Electronic System(Homepage building)
The care information beneficiary, the local care facility should devote itself to gradual expansion and installation of care related electronic information facility not to be disadvantageous due to information interruption in the care information trends. Especially, the facility spot and care teachers are required to participate at the care information education.
2. Subscription Expansion of the care information newsletter 「the Choongbuk Care Information」
The Choongbuk Care Information to be distributed to each facility should not be subscribed by only one person, but kept and circulated for all care workers' use. In addition, the readership should be widened and the content be completed that the facility, care teachers, parents can easily get necessary care information.
3. Opening of Specialized Educational Training Meeting Beneficiaries' Demand Emphasis should be on child art, gabe instruction, balloon art and basic art, baldorf doll making, paper folding and environmental composition, toy creation.
4. Budget Increase of Care Information Center
Operation subsidy should be increased, self-burden be optional, nut compulsory, and it needs to get its rehabilitative function to be complemented with related profit business, not profit-purpose.
5. Human Resource Expansion
Human resources required as it can not be expanded due to budget lack, and human resource(social welfare worker) needs to be recruited for a comprehensive package.
