The purpose of this study is to investigate the influences of organizational culture on Secretaries' organizational commitment which focused on personal and psychological aspects in organizational performance. This study was conducted in two research stages.
In the literature study, the organizational culture was divided into four dimensions (affiliation(group) culture, development(progressive) culture, maintenance(hierarchical) culture, and rationality & task culture. The organizational commitment was divided into three dimensions(affective commitment, calculative/continuance commitment and normative commitment).
In the survey study, the influences of four dimensions of organizational culture on three dimensions of organizational commitment Were measured and analyzed.
The results of this survey are as follows :
The secretaries' recognition level about organizational culture influences on organizational commitment. In detail, affiliation culture and development culture give positive(+) influences on affective commitment and normative commitment, but hierarchical culture gives negative influences on affective commitment and calculative/continuance commitment.
In conclusion, to enhance the level of secretaries' organizational commitment, it is important to induce the affiliation culture and development culture and avoid hierarchical culture.
This study not only indicates the characteristics of organizational culture, but also makes it possible to recognize the importance of organizational culture and provides suggestions to enhance secretaries' organizational commitment.
