At present Rhetoric seems entirely to prove itself the practical features linking many domaines of stduies that it has generated at the first time. The reason that Rhetoric is highlighted as a methode in theories at this time is not the place on which the world is necessarily spreaded by the abolute truth, but the place where one is relatively extended by diverse opinions. That is, the world is recognized as the place forming a connection with the co-existing opinions.
I will show that the New Rhetoric is distinguished with the philosophy of Descates in the view of 'conversation', 'compromis', and 'coexistence' on the thesis. At the same time, I will treat that Chaim Perelman used to criticize the philosophy of Descates. Therefore, we can try to accomplish two purposes : one is a 'fitness', this means whether the New Rhetoric is fitted with the present situation pursuing the values of the multiplicity or not. The other is a 'coherence', this means how the word of 'coherence' is unified as a whole between Rhetoric and New Rhetoric. I will make an effort to up fold the thesis through the three important words, that is 'compromis', 'evidence', and 'God'.
The meaning of analyzing the word of 'compromis' start with grasping the phenomenon of the life about how Perelman use the word in the natural language. Simultaneously, since in the view of Perelman, the metaphyisic, that is Plato, Descates, and Kant only have made use of the negative meaning which is not compromised with the self, or the others in the natural language, the metaphyisic only indicate the learing excluding the affirmative meaning on the do maine of pursuing the truth. Subquently, the meaning of analyzing his word of 'evidence' can be explained by the foundation on which the word is justified on my thesis. It lead to approach the difference of the two words, that is a demonstration and a argumentation. The last Perelman's analysis is the problem of 'God'. There are two aspects to solve the problem : one is the investigation of the general reasonable methode, the other is the analyzing of the contents which are contained on 『Meditation 3rd』 and 『Meditation 4th』.
Through the analysis of the philosophy of Descartes, Perelman finally insist that the philosophy certainly needs to cooperate the rhetoric implying the changes and the diversity originally. Then, it is necessary for the philosophy to have the important element in the rhetoric which is implied as the meaning of transmission and acceptance in order to survive in the present society pursuiting the diversity.
