This study investigates the Promethean characteristics demonstrated in Manfred and Frankenstein. It aims to verify the Promethean trace through the characters who show abnormally solipsistic beginnings, but are destined to their tragic victory. In the era of the prevalence of excessive egoistic traits, the representation of Prometheus implicates an individual's powerful assertion of humanistic values. The protagonists of Manfred and Frankenstein have similar features with their intensified pursuit for lofty aspirations and their consequent downfall. In their pursuit process, Manfred, Victor and the Monster show lack of contact with community. A5 a result, they become a wanderer or an outcast; however, they do not feel any regret at all for their rebellious pride. They are figures to represent the prototypes of the Romantic rebel as well as the Romantic outcast.
