Incoterms has been revised six times to reflect contemporary trading practices until now since it was revised in 1936 for first time. The main reason is to reflect the contemporary changes of international customs and to avoid or reduce the uncertainties caused by different interpretations in terms of a particular trade terms. Because Incoterms 2000 substituted clear and correct words by complementing the problems of old rules, it could reflect comtemporary practices more clear and specific than Incoterms 1990.
However, Incoterms 2000 has several problems. The lack of recognition in Incoterms. The detachment from theory and reality .In non-negotiable transport document the payment of the problem.
The necessity of reflecting the current practice. The necessity of rebuilding laws. the necessity of having self defense policy for the payment against non-negotiable transport document.
To resolve those problems, the ICC have to reflect the current practice and need to compliment and revise reasonably the trading cycles opinions. Finally, we have to inform actively the international community about the facilities provided by the Incoterms 2000.
