Stanley presents some examples where someone in a high stakes situation employs a belief passed on from someone in a low stakes situation. He intends these to defeat Contextualism about Knowledge and support his preferred alternative view: Interest Relative Invariantism. I argue here that Stanley has underestimated Contextualism about Knowledge. Correctly applied, Contextualism about Knowledge does succeed in accounting for our intuitions about such cases and is preferable to Interest Relative Invariantism.
