In 2001, the Cultural Heritage Narration service was introduced to Korea, which was modified into Culture and Tour Narration service because Korean government regarded the narration service as a way to boost the satisfaction of foreign visitors to Korea. The study showed that even though a majority of narrators had a strong sense of responsibility and mission, a customer service response to visitors and ability to speak in a foreign language was relatively low in their capabilities.
To overcome the problems, Korean government has to drive a strong policy: service mind education program, establishment of institutions approved from the government, manual publication, and various benefits enough to join the job.
Finally, the author insists that the most important factor be the narrators’ attitudes toward sacrifice spirit to visitors in culture and tour narration service. The sacrifice activity, a culture and tour narration service, can not exchanged to any other things because there is no alternative to that.
Even though this study uses an exploratory research method, we hope that the further research related to culture and tour narration service will be soon taken.
