The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of the 12 weeks swimming exercise program on body composition, blood lipid and Immune Function in male students, to present the basic scientific informations for developing the effective training prescription programs in order to improve the swimming performance. The subjects recruited for this study were male physical education students(n=22), and were divided into two groups : swimming exercise group(n=12) and comparison group(n=10). Swimming exercise program consisted of warm up(10 min.), main exercise(60-70% HRR during 1-6 weeks, 40min., 71-80% HRR during 7-12 weeks, 40min.), cool down(10min.), 3 times a week during 12 weeks. Body composition, blood lipid and were analyzed before and after Swimming exercise program. The change of body composition after 12 weeks swimming exercise. %fat significantly decreased in swimming exercise group with significant difference between group. and significantly increased in comparison group. The change of blood lipid after 12 weeks swimming exercise. T-C significantly decreased in swimming exercise group with significant difference between group. TG significantly decreased in swimming exercise group with no significant difference between group. and T-C significantly increased in comparison group. The change of Immune Function after 12 weeks swimming exercise. IgG significantly decreased in swimming exercise group with significant difference between group. IgM was not significantly changed in swimming exercise group with significant difference between group.
