The purposes of this study were ⓐ to investigate the perception and need level of students toward dance curriculum and ⓑ to develope dance program in university that can be provided the professors of university after analyzing the characteristics of year and major level. A total of 251 completed questionnaires were appropriate, comprising junior and senior in university. The statistical procedures used were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Chi-square, and t-test. SPSSWIN was used for the analysis of data. It was hoped that respondents become to be professionals equipped with their own competence and quality. Also, they required appropriate professional curriculum that was diversified and segmented. The result of the survey was analysed. They are as follows: ① The students` opinion on the existing curriculum had been asked. 48.5% were not completely satisfied with the curriculum but at the same time they were not against it. 37.9% of the students were not satisfied with the existing curriculum. The reasons for students` complaints on the curriculum had been examined according to year and field of study. Statistically, there were no vital differences in the complaints(P$gt;.05) but 39.8% of students stated that the set curriculum is in actual fact a waste of time. The future ambitions and desires of the students had been asked. The students` answers showed a difference in ratio however there were no significant statistic to be acknowledged. ② The students wished for a curriculum focused more on a specialized education that would aid them with their career after university. Important statistical differences seemed evident in the students` wish for a different method of teaching and increasing their creativity (P$lt;.05), (P$lt;.005). ③ The majority of students wished for a curriculum with less emphasis put of the field of physical education. ④ Having the choice to choose the compulsory subjects, this coinciding with their timetable and the grades required to be obtained. In general most of the students choice the same subjects but there was a difference in the preference of creativity and compulsory subject, grades and time.
