Are there significant differences in the use of effective teaching behaviors between male and female teachers in secondary physical education classes? 3. Are there significant difference of Academic Learning Time between experienced and inexperienced teachers in secondary physical education classes? 4. Are there significant differences of Academic Learning Time between male and female teachers in secondary physical education classes? Twenty teaches from two city were observed during this study. 20 secondary physical education ball game(volley ball; basket ball) lessons were videotaped and academic learning time coded using a Wilknson & Taggarts`(1984) modified ALT-PE supercision Program(Youn, 1984). Two trained observes recorded the teaching behaviors and academic learning time in the subjects less ons. The methods used for observing those behaviors were event recording and interval recording. Inter-observer agreement was calculated periodically to ensure the relialility of the data obtained. The data were analyzed by using SPSS/PC^+ specifically dealing with t-test, percentage, Mean and Standard Deviation. The results of this study revealed that: 1. The experienced teachers spent more time positive feedback(positive general feedback, positive specific feed back) than those of inexperienced teachers. 2. The male teachers spent more time native feedback (negative general feedback, negative specific feedback) than those of female teachers. 3. The percentage of ALT-PE of the experienced teachers was more higher than those of the inexperien red teachers. 4. The percentage of ALT-PE of the male teachers was more higher than those of the female teachers.
