The purpose of this study was to examine to relationships between the role conflict and job stress of member of physical education organizations. In order to accomplish this purpose, this study hypothesized as follows: First, role conflict of member of physical education organizations will show difference according to lower variables. Second, job stress of member of physical education organizations will show highly. Third, role conflict of member of physical education organizations will effect on job Stress. The sample was drawn from 199 members worked at several physical education organizations in Korea, they were selected by the method of random sampling. The questionnaire consisted of fixed-alternative and open-ended questions. The questionnaire consisted of two sections; role conflict and job stress. The reliability coefficients of the questionnaire were ranging from.7727~8905. A survey was undertaken from May 20th to May 28th, 1997 using the self-administration method. All of questionnaires were personally delivered to the respondents. who immediately filled them out. One-way repeated measured ANOVA, Correlation Analysis, and Regression Analysis were used as statistical methods for the study. Results obtained from this research were as follow: 1. Role conflict of member of physical education organizations showed difference according to lower variables. That is, member of physical education organizations felt person conflict, sender conflict, role overload conflict in regular sequence. 2. Job stress of member of physical education organizations showed somewhat highly. 3. There was appeared positive correlation between the role conflict and job stress of member of physical education organizations. Also, the effect of role conflict of member of physical education organizations on job stress appeared role overload conflict, sender conflict, person conflict in regular sequence positively.
