The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of real environment and structured environment on acquisition of chopstick skill with non -dominant hand and to analyze the factors which was relating to the acquisition of chopstick skill with non-dominant hand. Total of 48 university students were divided into 2 groups; real environment group and structured environment group. Both group were asked to practice the chopstick skill in each environment on 60 times a day during 4weeks. The Chopstick Manipulation Test(CMT) was used to assess the chopstick skill. Nine hole pegboard test was used to assess coordination and dexterity of the trained hand. There was significantly difference on CMT(<.05) and was no significantly difference on Ninehole pegboard test(>.05) between real environment and structured environment after the training. The CMT was significantly improve after the training in structured group(<.05) but there was significantly no improvement in real environment group(>.05). The CMT(after training) was correlations with CMT(before training) in real environmental group(.980**) and structured environmental group(.963**). CMT(after training) was no correlations with Ninehole pegboard test in real environmental group and structured environmental group. In Conclusion, the results suggest that the structured context will be efficient strategy to acquire the chopstick skill. The chopstick skill training will increase the coordination and dexterity of hand. But just training of coordination and dexterity of hand will not affect to the acquisition of chopstick skill.
