The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of regular acute exercise on hemolysis (haptoglobin, transferrin) and inflammatory factor(CRP, WBC) in different sports athletes(fencing, wrestling, shooting).A total of 36 male subjects (mean age was 17 years old) participated in the study and were consisted with wrestling (n=12), fencing(n=12) and shooting(n=12). Blood samples extracted rest, immediately after regular daily exercise (three hours) and recovery period(2hours later). Wrestling showed significant decrease in blood haptoglobin concen-tration during immediately after exercise and recovery period(p=.031), but fencing and shooting did not show any significant change. Transferrin did not showed any significant change with different exercise in all group. Compared with shooting, a significant higher likelihood of elevated CRP was found in wrestling and fencing at recovery period (p = .023). Wrestling and fencing showed significant increase in blood WBC concentration at immediately after exercise and decreased at recovery period(p=.032), but shoothing did not show any significant change with exercise and recovery. In conclusion, wrestling had more possibility for hemolysis and wrestling and fencing revealed higher inflammatory response than shooting. Further studies will investigate other hemolysis factor such as iron, hemoglobin ferritin which potentially lead to anemia for athletes in training and competition.
