This study is to explain the significance of Tillich’s divine creativity from the perspective of the Religionstheology. This paper aims to recognize the ‘creation of God’ and ‘divine creativity’ in Tillich’s systematic theology as an important foundation of his Religionstheology. First, this study is to examine divine creativity as the power of being that emerges from Tillich’s ultimate concern. This creativity of Tillich is the power of being that causes self-understanding and self-transformation. Second, this paper is to examine the creation of God as a basis for interreligious dialogue. Because God’s creation is a religious symbol that signifies the inter-subjectivity of religions. Third, this paper explains the three dimensions of divine creativity, divine life, and divine love manifested in God’s creation. Fourth, thesis tries to examine New-Being as the historical basis of self-criticism and self-transformation of individual religions. New-Being is a transformative power of being that overcomes the divisiveness of the essence and existence. In Conclusion, this paper defines ‘love of God’ as a creative manifestation of divine creativity. Tillich’s love of God is a common place of religion that has been revealed to be divine. Therefore, this paper explains the ultimate power of individual religions to overcome limitations of their own religious experiences and exclusiveness to other religions and to bring them to the convergence point of history as divine creativity
