Recently, the rate of teachers who feel difficulties about the guidance for students is increased, because the weakness of teacher’s authority. The purpose of this study was to investigate a meta-analysis of articles related to burnout of elementary teachers and secondary teachers over the last 10 years. Through a total of 42 papers that are related to ‘teacher burnout’ were collected for this purpose and the effect size was calculated by using R software. Based on collected papers, variables related to teacher burnout were classified into three categories: personal factors, job factors, and social factors. The results of this study were as follows. First, the overall mean effect size of personal factors was -.24. Among them, the mean effect size of ego-resilience was -.52, teacher efficacy was -.39, and perfectionism was .15. And also nervousness was .44, extroversion was -.32, agreeableness was -.22, openness was -.20, conscientiousness was -.15. The overall average effect size of the job factor was .37. Among them, the job stress showed .56, the job environment was .43, the emotional labor (deeping acting) was -.20, emotional labor(surface acting) was .21. The mean effect size of social support in social factors was -.28. Second, the moderator analysis did not appear to be statistically significant. The limitations of current research should be noted. Future research should explore moderator analyses exist between burnout and another variables.
