The Korean Government accredited OTE(Overseas Tour Escort) that a professional tour conductor and a tour manager can play a critical role in the development of Korean tourism industry. Considering the importance of interpersonal marketing and operation within the boundary of tourism industry, the necessity of OTE requires the professional skills and knowledge to operate and manage tourism services. This study will suggest several comments for the development of the Overseas Tour Escort Training Program and its effective implementation. The results of this study will be helpful to the understanding of its role in the training and education with respect to the entire education process. This study found that new system of the practical curriculum development, foreign language education, and admission standards could contribute to the educational-industrial improvements in producing better qualified human resources and practical tour guide skills.
