The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of the science education program based on outdoor play for young children on young children`s creativity, curiosity and scientific process skills. This program was applied to 46 children (23 children in the experimental group and 23 children in the comparative group) at two kindergartens in Seoul for 14 weeks. The pre-test and post-test for young children`s creativity, curiosity and scientific process skills were conducted to collect the data. The data were analyzed by ANCOVA with SPSS 15.0 WIN program. In conclusion, the science education program based on outdoor play for young children was effective in promoting young children`s creativity, curiosity and scientific process skills. This reflects that this science education program is meaningful to apply in real education fields.
