  The purpose of this research was to investigate difficulties and requirements of teachers at Infant Day Care Center. For this research, a depth interview on twelve teachers at three centers in Jeju was used.
  As a result, it was found that the teachers have difficulties in managing infant classes, in directing and teaching infants, who have problems at the early stage of their study, problematic behavior. and basic living habits.
  Also, the teachers required that improvement on physical environment and the assignment of professional manpower for infants" safety, and that change of parents" thinking on infant teachers, opportunities on re-education for infant teachers, improvement on teacher and infant ratio, and development of working environment for the teachers.
  Based on the results of this research, the following are necessary:
  (1) development and supply of monthly detailed infant educational programs
  (2) classes for infant education at curriculum of universities(colleges)
  (3) construction of physical environment that is suitable for the development characteristics of infants
  (4) education of teachers who have endurance and warm heart based on understanding of infant development
  (5) review on current educational contents and opportunity for teachers to check the contents
  (6) improvement on working environment for infant teachers.
