Public rental housing plays a very important role in the establishment of a residential stability for the non-householders. Furthermore, public rental housing should play a very important role in providing various customized welfare services for residents and supporting social and economic revitalization by creating jobs for residents. Social enterprises in public rental housing complexes can be regarded as a valid means of enhancing the quality of life welfare service and creating jobs for residents beyond the primary purpose of public rental housing for the non-householders. The purpose of this study is to classify social enterprises in public rental housing complexes supplied by the Korea Land Housing Corporation and present future development directions by identifying various characteristics and identifying various problems in the operation of social enterprises. Social enterprises in LH public rental housing complexes are classified into four types, and this study intends to draw conclusions by comparing and analyzing characteristics among the types through case studies and surveys. Through this research, I would like to propose a few ideas for the revitalization of social enterprises in public rental housing. First, social enterprises have different conditions and operating systems for each type. Therefore, it is necessary to reexamine the operating system and conditions of the entire social enterprises in public rental housing complexes, and establish an efficient operating system that will carry out the construction of an integrated operating system, consulting, education and support measures. Second, it is deemed necessary to newly apply the LH village type model of social enterprise to social enterprises that are established in the legal mandatory space. Third, researches and supports on social enterprises in public rental housing should be given priority because social services and jobs are directly attributable to low income housing.
