Report Errors
The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of social network on knowledge sharing and the mediation effects of informal learning and work engagement on the relationship between social network and knowledge sharing. The results show that social network affected informal learning and work engagement. Mediation effects of informal learning and work engagement were shown in the relationship between social network and work engagement. In particular, informal learning and work engagement had a serial mediation effects between social network size/strength and knowledge sharing. The results imply that organizations should create informal learning environments and facilitate employee"s work engagement to improve knowledge sharing in an organization in terms of social network support. Theoretical implications, limitations, and recommendations for future studies were suggested.
