The purpose of this study was to identify the reasons for negative attitude of middles schooler without disabilities toward inclusive physical eduation with a student with mental retardation. This study will contribute to accelerate and facilitate inclusive physical education. Using qualitative methodology, data were collected using observation, in-depth interviews to 2-1 class non-disable middle school students from april to December in 2004. The data were analyzed using textual analyses, domain analyses, taxonomic analyses. The researcher interpreted the results from the epistemology point of symbolic interaction view. On the basis of the results analysed, the conclusions were drawn as follows: Students without disabilities had negative attitude toward the student with mental retardation because of his aggressive behavior, disturbing class, and middle schoolers' limitation or inability of acceptance for the students with mental retardation. This study suggested that improvement of physical education teachers' positive attitude toward students wiht disabilities, development of imstructional stategies and specialty, and education for understanding students without disabiliteis in inclusive classes were strongly needed.
