Literature education in elementary school have a unique identity as an educational period for initiation. The identity contain three qualities. Three qualities are developmental quality, literary quality, designed quality. And it is in elementary school that literature education take the responsibility for initiating literature life to students. To initiate elementary students in literature life, literature education have to provide whole of literary experience to students. The whole literary experience of students in elementary school is to understand about literature, to enjoy with literature, to interest in literature. Also we are able to use these experience factors for organizing elementary literature curriculum. Because these factors are very important as pedagogical contents that elementary students are to obtain whole literary experience. But The 7th Korean language curriculum and textbooks to use for educating literature include some problems. First, the curriculum is not enough to contain pedagogical contents which elementary students can understand about literature. Second, the 7th curriculum for literature education insufficiently provide whole of literary experience to students. Third, The curriculum can't help elementary students to be interest in literature. So I suggested four solutions to solve the problems. First, we have to design curriculum that elementary students can experience the whole of literature. Second, our curriculum must contain pedagogical contents which elementary students can understand about literature, enjoy with literature, interest in literature. Third, it have to be literary presented literary words and terminology that teachers and students practically use in document of curriculum and textbooks. Fourth, We attempt to develope literature reading books for literature education in elementary school. I hope to improve elementary literature education by my solution.
