This study is a secondary analysis of the '2015 National Children and Youth Human Rights Survey'. Of the total of 10,470 survey data, only 7,412 adolescents in junior high and high school were analyzed. The problem of school maladjustment and mental health of Korean adolescents is emerging as a social issue. To propose a soution this study focuses on the impact of social capital, which is known to be a major variable influencing adolescent school adaptation. Further this study examined the relationship between social capital, mental health and adolescent school adjustment. AMOS 20. was used to perform factor analysis and structural equations. The study results showed that the social capital had a significant influence on mental health and school adjustment. Mental health played a mediating role between social capital and school adjustment. Practical suggestions to improve adolescents’ adjustment to school life were made.
