Purpose: The purpose of the study was to explore the limitations of internet-reservation system for public sport facilities. Method: This study utilized case study methodology targeting Sejong City First Town Tennis Club(SFTC). To collect data, this study utilized observation and interviews with the board members of the SFTC and civil servant of Sejong city hall. After data collection, the data was analyzed utilizing qualitative analysis method. Results: As the limitations of internet-reservation system for public sport facilities the followings are revealed; 1) Decrease of effectiveness of tennis court use(unconditional reservation culture, no-show, decrease of the number of players per court), 2) occurrence of opposite effects(occurrence of exclusive right to non-club members, impossibility of impromptu tennis play), 3) infringement of silver population’s participation in tennis caused by difficulty of internet reservation, 4) crisis of existence of the biggest amateur tennis club(SFTC) in the country, and 5) neglecting upper-level concept of fairness. Conclusion: In order to supplement the limitations, this study suggests the following alternatives; 1) acknowledging vested rights of SFTC which has been built for 8 years, as well as to minimize the foreseen opposite effects, maintain the autonomic operation system of SFTC, 2) apply mixed operation system of internet reservation system and SFTC’s autonomic operation system to the new built tennis courts in the city, 3) maintain internet reservation system to the courts that are currently under the internet reservation system or partly apply autonomic operation system to meet the needs of both regular tennis participants and event tennis participants.
