The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of group program for improving community sense for the children in community child center. For the purpose of this study, the authors reviewed related papers and developed group program for improving community sense. In order to verify the effectiveness of the group program, 24 children who participated in the center were randomly selected from 12 experimental groups and 12 comparative groups. This study applied non-equivalent control group pretest-post design. The results of the study were as follows. First, group program for improving community sense was proved to be effective on increasing community sense of kids attending community child center. Second, the results of each subfactor of community sense had significant effects in the areas of membership, influence, and emotional linkage. On the other hand, integrated area of needs and satisfaction had not proven effective. Finally, based on the results of this study, some suggestions were made to develop group programs at the community child center.
