The current study approaches the issue of online learning improvement and satisfaction during the COVID-19 pandemic. The onset of the virus has brought about major work and lifestyle adjustments for individuals around the world. An important global sector greatly affected by the changes brought about by the pandemic is that of education. Thus, much current research has focused on the immediate psychological aspects that the virus has had on teachers and students or on mitigating the impact of the virus in learning structures from one place to another. Therefore, as classes move online, the current study has focused on the satisfaction observations of online learning, viewed from the perspectives of university students. To achieve this, the research employs focus group interviews with students to assess the impact and overall satisfaction experienced by Korean university students with their online learning experiences during the pandemic. Findings from the focus group suggest that improvements in online learning are achieved when stronger relationships are established between educators and learners. Further, online learning improvement is enhanced when educators offer a greater degree of diversification in their teaching curriculum, and supplement regular learning with additional learning instruments. The paper concludes by providing recommendations for the improvement of online classes and student satisfaction.
