The purpose of this study is to evaluate the training times of youth soccer players in advanced sport countries (USA, Germany, The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA)) and Korean student soccer players (Elementary school (n=50), Middle school (n=50), High school (n=50)) and Trainers (n=50). Participants took part in a self-management questionnaire for training time and another case in advanced sport countries were collected from national publication. According to our results as firstly, the training time were found in elementary school athletes 5-7 times/week, average training time 19h 12min, middle school athletes 5-7 times/week, average training time 22h 9min, high school athletes 5-7 times/week, average training time 27h 35min. It showed higher training time and frequency than advanced sport countries (USA: in elementary school athletes 3 times/week, average training time 4h 30min, middle school athletes 4 times/week, average training time 6h, high school athletes 4-5 times/week, average training time 7h until 10h, Germany: in elementary school athletes average training time 8h, middle school athletes average training time 10h until 12h, high school athletes average training time 12h until 14h, UEFA: approx. in elementary school average training time 5h 17min, middle school athletes average training time 8 h 8 min, high school athletes average training time 11h 43min). Secondly, the question about ‘Do you think you should shorten your exercise time if your current exercise intensity is high?’ gave 80% trainers moderate, 79.4% players moderate answer. Thirdly, the question about ‘What do you think about decrease training time?’ gave 32% trainers and 45.7% players negative answer. Fourthly, 36% of trainers and 33.1% of players answered that they were negative about ‘Do you think that the more training time can be induced the high training effect or high training performance?’. lastly, 20h 33min of coaches and 22h 20min of players responded to the question " What is your ideal training time?”. In conclusion, Korean student soccer players are exposed to excessive training time. It can be caused injuries and early retirement. The trainer will have to consider the appropriate training time.
