본 연구는 만5세 남아를 대상으로 남아의 자기 조절력이 거친 신체놀이가 또래 인기도에 미치는 영향을 매개하는지 혹은 조절하는지를 탐색해 봄으로써, 그간 일관되지 않게 밝혀진 거친 신체놀이의 영향력을 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 충청도에 소재한 어린이집에 재원 중인 만5세 남아 417명과 담임교사 57명을 대상으로 2019년 6월 24일부터 8월2일까지 수행되었다. 또래 인기도는 Asher, Singleton, Tinsley과 Hymel의 ‘Peer Rating Scale’을 이나영(2003)이 번안하고 이유미와 신나리(2019)가 수정 · 보완한 도구를 사용하여 일대일 면접을 통해 측정하였다. 남아의 거친 신체놀이는 Humphery와 Smith(1987)의 거친신체놀이 범주를 정나영과 정계숙(2015)이 수정 · 보완한 것을 사용하였고, 자기조절력은Kendall과 Wilcox(1979)가 제작한 자기조절력 평정척도(Self-Control Rating Scale: SCRS)를 유혜정(1998)이 번안하고 김시내(2010)가 수정 · 보완한 도구를 사용하여 교사 대상의 설문조사를 통해 측정되었다. 수집된 자료는 PROCESS macro 3.4 버전을 이용하여 매개효과(모형 4) 및 조절효과(모형 1)를 분석하였다.
그 결과를 살펴보면, 남아가 거친 신체놀이를 즐겨 할수록 자기조절력은 낮아지는 것으로 나타났으며, 자기조절을 잘할수록 또래 인기도는 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 이같이 독립변인인 거친 신체놀이가 매개변 ... View All
