This research suggested that intrinsic motivation is an awakened psychological state that expresses creativity and induces positive job behavior. If these internal and extrinsic motivations interact and incremented, what kind of effect will it have on creative job behavior? This study aims to conceptually identify the effect of the interaction between intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation based on the results of existing research theories and empirical studies related to motivation. The arguments made in this study based on the results of previous studies are as follows. First, it examines the differential effectiveness through a more subdivided motive dimension than the two-dimensional intrinsic and extrinsic motives. Second, it reviews the interaction effect of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation on creative performance. Third, it provides further theoretical and practical suggestions for the evidence of the effect of motivation on creative performance.
