This article aims to provide an accurate explanation of the "self" hidden by the "other" in Levinas' ethics. The subject of Levinas is not described as being absent or lacking. Therefore, this paper removes the prejudice against the subject brought about by the emphasis on the other in Levinas' philosophy and focuses on how Levinas explains the subject. As a self-sufficient human being with materiality and enjoyment and desire for others (God, Infinite), he/she leaps into another being. Therefore, desire is metaphysical. This philosophical transcendence is a phenomenon in which the relationship between the same person and the other is not generalized to either side. It presupposes an idea of infinity that is completely separated. The idea of infinity is connected to a noumenon, not numen. The transcendence of infinity is separated from it and allows us to access infinity relative to the self that thinks about infinity
