Content creators have a desire to achieve great results in a larger market. As a result, various concerns are raised in order to enter the overseas market. In the meantime, I thought that the best way was to understand the sentiment of the country where I was going to enter and use materials and themes that matched it. However, with the development of communication technology and the spread of social network services, cultural adjacency has expanded, making it easy to access content for domestic demand in each country. Regardless of the existing localization strategy, this has created a phenomenon of consumption if it suits your taste, and as a result, content that has produced unexpected results has appeared. In particular, Korean contents had a strong ripple effect, and various cultural contents with the so-called ‘K’ at the forefront were consumed worldwide. Among them, movies and dramas also began to produce great results, and not only were box office hits, but they were recognized for both commerciality and cinematography, such as winning awards at various overseas awards ceremonies. Accordingly, the researcher was able to find a code called Shinpa(新派) among these works, and judged that the device called Shinpa might be a box office formula that could produce results in the global market. Along with Parasite(2019), Squid Game(2021), which caused a worldwide syndrome, also has the text of Shinpa, and it is used overseas. I thought it was a feature that was fresh and acceptable to the audience, so I searched for analysis and performance examples. Squid Game is a Shinpa based on a family narrative that is common in works that achieved high box office success in the 2000s, and the material for Shinpa also found a commonality that it contained the story of a father frustrated by the world. Although this is a Korean characteristic and a story of our neighbors, it was found that it is a global code that can be commonly experienced in capitalist society, it can be confirmed that behind the success of Squid Game, the text of Shinpa also played a big role in some part.
