The purpose of this study is to use it as an important data to prevent and solve the smartphone overdependence and to improve the university life adjustment by examining the mediating effect of self-efficacy and the moderating effect of social support in the effect relationship of smartphone overdependence on university life adjustment of university students. For this purpose, I did self-report type questionnaires, taking male and female university students in universities in Gwangju Metropolitan City as its object, and 351 copies were used for final analysis. The main results were as follows. Firstly, in the effect relationship of the smartphone overdependence on the adaptation of university life, the self-efficacy has a partial mediating effect. Secondly, as a result of examining the adjustment effect by the parent support, professor support, and friend support as subordinate factors of social support in relationship to the effect relationship of smartphone overdependence on the adaptation of university life, it was confirmed that the parent support and the friend support have control effect, but the professor support have no control effect. Based upon these study results I discussed the meaning and implications of the study, and suggested the successive study tasks.
