Report Errors
Recently, as the form of data has diversified and the amount of data has increased, the use of non-relational databases capable of handling flexible data models is increasing as existing relational databases have limited data management. However, digital forensics techniques for non-relational databases has not been studied. This paper explains the storage structure and data collection method of Couchbase, a document store type among non-relational databases, and presents a digital forensic investigation method of Couchbase. In addition, the digital forensics investigation method presented in this paper can be used to recover deleted data, including identification and countermeasures for anti-forensics behavior.
