The recognition of Gojosun history has been changing significantly on the point that Pyungyang was a kingpin town of Gojosun. North Korea's excavation of Dangunreung provided a momentum for this change. It is said that Gojosun history centering around Pyungyang will be researched by relating ruins and remains of Pyungyang area, mainly focusing dolmens. It is true that recent outcome call for reappraisal about Dangun. It needs to reinverstigate the historic remains and materials before accessing reappraisal about Dangun. In Ganghwa island, there are not a few historic remains and materials of Dangun. For instance, <Goryosa> says that Dangun built the Chamsungdan on the top of Mt. Mani to perform a religious ritual to heaven and furthermore the island has many other materials that have been transmitted from the Goryo and Chosun Dynasty.In the text, Lee Saek's epics that refer to Dangun are introduced. Besides, the excavation of historic remains around Ganghwa island and the research of materials discovered recently have an influence on grasping the new meaning of Dangun.
