The study, with the purpose of assessment on the effects of creatine as an exercise support to Korean wrestlers who were drilled highly, examined the effects of it on the body formation, constituent parts of the blood, anaerobics power, and the uniform velocity muscle skill by 5-day prescription for 13 Korean wrestlers, varying the amount of dosage with each weight. The results of the study are like follows:
1. Among the variable items, there were no statistical significances of the changes of weight, the volume of muscle, and fat quantities but, there were reductions with statistical significances (p<.05) of body fat quantity and the rate of body fat quantity for the group of creatine prescribed. For the group of fake medicine prescribed, weight decreased with statistical significance (p<.01) but, there were no statistical significances of the volume of muscle, fat quantities, body fat quantity and the rate of body fat quantity.
2. In the examination of anaerobics locomotion power after creatine prescription, there were no differences with statistical significance of average power, pick power, and the index figure of fatigue in both creatine prescribed group and fake medicine prescribed group.
3. In the examination of constituent parts of the blood after creatine prescription, both the creatine prescribed group (p<.01) and the fake medicine prescribed group (p<.05) increased in the stabilization CK active degree with statistical significances. Both groups (p<.05) increased in creatinine concentration with statistical significances as well. There were no differences with statistical significances of the stabilization concentrations of lactic acid and ammonia, and the concentrations of lactic acid and ammonia after exercise in both creatine prescribed group and fake medicine prescribed group.
A short period creatine prescription seems to have effects on the body formation and constituent parts of the blood, but as a support to exercise ability improvement, have no effect on exercise ability whatsoever.
