The Bible has been at the center of Christian education and the foundation of Christian educational community. The teaching methods of the Bible have been changed by the diverse streams of educational theology. For the past 20 years, the teaching methods of the Bible have faced on three important challenges. First, minority people in the world have developed teaching methods of the Bible for the liberation and humanization of oppressed and poor people. They have reinterpreted the Bible through their own experiences, critically reflected their lives, and transformed their society with new visions. For them, teaching and learning the Bible is the process of conscientization and liberation. Second, many religious educators began to emphasize human intuition, emotion, imagination and whole brain for teaching and learning the Bible. They have criticized cognitive -oriented teaching method of the Bible, and suggested more holistic and multiple approach to the encounter with Scripture. These methods help people to experience God and biblical characters as real living beings in history, to open to new interpretations of the Bible and to create new vision toward future. Third, new age of information technology demands multimedia education of the Bible. The Bible exists in electronic form and is read as hypertext. Multimedia education makes it possible to develop more creative and holistic education by using the varieties of images, sounds, actions, simulations, and interactions. It also helps people to develop diverse and dynamic computer-mediated communication about the Bible and to create more diverse communities in real world and virtual space. Based on these new challenges of teaching the Bible, educational communities need to develop creative and diverse educational methods of the Bible in order to help people to meet God and biblical characters and to find the meaning of their lives in this era of information technology.
