This study utilized SWOT(Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat) and AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) model in order to select the priorities for on-site forum in rural villages. As a result of the expert interview survey, 12 SWOT factors of on-site forum were chosen.
As a result of the expert interview survey, types of rural on-site forum were separated by life-based, income-based, and urban-rural exchanges type. and it was derived 12 SWOT factors by the village type through SWOT analysis for each type. As a result of measuring the relative importance of the SWOT factors by the village type through AHP analysis, it showed that importance of the opportunity factor is the highest in the “villagers unite promote” in the case of life-based village, and importance of the strength factor is the highest in the “resident-led excavation theme” in the case of income-based village. Also, importance of the opportunity factor is the highest in the “revenue through the urban experience etc” in the case of urbanrural exchange villages.
The above results are significant to provide important reference materials to proceed rural on-site forum by the village type, and offer implications for improving the operational efficiency of rural on-site forum by identifying threats and weaknesses factors.But it remains limited whether results of the SWOT-AHP model has a subjective characteristic.
