This study examines the perceptions of their children's educational needs according to school levels and draws educational implications based on their levels. To this end, we surveyed 1,741 parents who have children attending Dae-Jeon’s elementary, middle, and high school. We asked them about their source on child care information, participation topics and frequencies of education for parents, need and satisfaction of education for parents, the requirements of home education as education for parents. The first analysis result focused on the information about the current state of education for parents was perceived less through education conducted at school, and as the grade of the child and school grade increased, the interaction with the school decreased. In addition, most education for parents of children who are students programs were conducted in lectures on "career and career guidance". Second, parents have positive attitude about need for education for parents of children who are students and intention to participate, and they wants to have an education in one semester course in the academy class. The preferred educational contents differ according to the school level. Education for parents' future directions and aims are discussed. On this basis, we emphasize holding discussions on the meaning of education for parents of children who are students, the examination of educational implications, the validity of dealing home education in education for parents. This study clarifies the nature of education for parents of children who are students and provides guidelines in developing education for parents of children who are students programs contributing in making a systematical and rational education ultimately contributing to maximize education’s efficiency for parents of children who are students’ empowerment.
