The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of death preparation education program on death anxiety and self-integration in the elderly of urban and rural complex areas . The study was conducted with 50 elderly people (aged 65 and over) in the urban and rural complex areas of D metropolitan city (25 experimental group and 25 control group), and death preparation education was performed for 12 weeks(one time per week, two hours each). For the purpose, the experimental study was conducted the effect of education was measured by the independent sample t test, covariance analysis, ANCOVA, and t test. The results of the main study showed that the score of death anxiety decreased effectively before and after the preparation for death, and the score of self - integration changed significantly increase after the implementation. Based on the results of this study, it was discussed that educating elderly people in urban and rural complex areas to preparing education for death could contribute to the meaningful living of the remaining life, and proposed the practical and policy activating plan for death preparation education for them.
