The purpose of this study was to offer a more effective teaching method to improve children`s musical propensity in daycare centers and kindergrartens bt verifing the effects on children`s musical prpensity from the integrated multicultural music program. For this goal, the multicultural music program was developed in consideration of the diversity in musical area and the interdisciplinary study. The extent of young children`s propensity in music was also analyzed with such program applied to the children 15 times. The subjects were 145 children aged 4 and 5 in two daycare centers in Chungcheong-do. The experimental group consisted of 72 children and the rest were the comparative group. The result from the study of them was that all of their propensity, interest, competence, value, and volition of music meaningfully improved and increased compared to the comparative group. The improvement of 5-year-old children in the experimental group was more significantly shown than that of those who were in the comparative group. As for 4-year-old ones in the experimental group, their interest and value of the music more meaningfully increased than others in the comparative group. Therefore, it is suggested to consider the diversity in music area and the interdisciplinary study when the teachers of young children plan some music activities to improve their musial propensity.
