The purpose of this study was to verify the differences in the gender equality consciousness and perceptions of marriage of 229 male and female university students. Measuring tools was made to review the test questions in the questionnaire and using SPSS 25.0, this study conducted Frequency Analysis, Multivariate Analysis of Variance and Multiple Regression Analysis. The results were as follows: First, there was a significant difference in the gender equality consciousness and perceptions of marriage of male and female university students by grade, birth order and economic level of households. Second, the relationship between gender equality consciousness and perceptions of marriage was found to differ significantly according to sex of male and female university students. Therefore, the differences in the effects of gender equality consciousness on perceptions of marriage can be considered in designing gender equality education and educational experiences for successful performance of developmental tasks during university students. Through this, we can expect differentiated effectiveness by educational program.
