An important change of the struggle for reading classics in the 1930s was that both the group of absolute consent and the absolute opposition were increasingly marginalized, and the compromise between them, the third cultural choice, gradually occupied the center of the historical stage. The third cultural choice is not to resist vulgar and high standards. The third kind of cultural choice is to adopt a more objective and rational attitude towards the issue of reading the classics in this pending century debate. It is objectivity of thought expression and the self-perfection of value boundary create a balanced ideological model in the chaotic world and context. The quiet turn of the third cultural choice in the debate on reading classics seems to be of more practical significance to modern education and society. It indicates that modern ideological cognition has changed from a sharp confrontation to rationality and peace. It is not only a logical process, but also a historical process. However this process is not only helps to promote the transformation of ideology, culture and mode of thinking, but also bases itself on reality and conforms to the law of educational modernization.
