Objective: This study was conducted with the aim of grasping the trend of changes in the satisfaction and psychological maladjustment of children in community child centers, and the relationship between the satisfaction with community child centers and psychological maladjustment of children in Community child centers over time.
Methods: For the purpose of this study, data from the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years of the 2nd term panel survey of from Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey conducted by the National Youth Policy Institute. The analysis method used was Structural Equation Modeling by using SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 25.0.
Results: First, as a result of verifying the trend of changes in the satisfaction of community child centers in the 4th, 5th, 6th grade of elementary school, and 1st grade of middle school periods, the satisfaction of was relatively high and increased continuously. Second, as a result of verifying the change of psychological maladjustment from the 4th grade of elementary school to the 1st grade of middle school, it was found that there was little change in the average value. Third, as a result of verifying the relationship between the change of community child centers satisfaction and psychological maladjustment according to the change of time from the 4th grade of elementary school to the 1st grade of middle school.
Conclusion/Implications: The process of changing local child care center satisfaction can lead to changes in children"s psychological maladjustment.
